Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

Many Christians have asked me "How can you make the transition from Christian to Disciple?" I believe this is a very good question for anyone to consider especially a Believer.

The New Testament says Disciples are made by The Church. WOW! Yes a New Testament Church is a spiritual factory turning Christians into Disciples. You may ask. "What's the difference in a Christian and a Disciple?" Christians are usually spiritual babies when it comes to the application of their faith. They are usually only worried about themselves or their own family and often ask the question, "What does your church offer me and my family?" But the Disciple Of Jesus Christ will look to the needs of others and often pray, "What can I do for you Lord through Your Church?" The secret here is when the Lord asks you to do something for someone else's family He is also asking someone else to do something for your family; with this type of spiritual watchcare for one another The Church has more Disciples helping one another and no one is left out.

Don’t be focused only on your needs and only the needs of your family
— Philippians 2:4

Antioch depends upon the Biblical model of volunteerism; members using their skills, talents and spiritual gifts, ministering to one another. That is what Jesus wants His Church to become. Antioch would encourage you to come, serve, and enjoy the Rural Church spiritual environment and make your Church home here with us. Has Christ called you to help build His Church with your spiritual gifts and talents? How can Antioch help you discover what The Lord wants you to do for Him? I know Antioch has always had a deep appreciation for the Christians' gifts and talents being used though our Church. Members of Antioch want you to come and Worship our Savior, Jesus Christ and discover who you are in Jesus Christ. Your service, as a Disciple of Jesus, should produce several important characteristics: a loving caring heart for others, Love for Jesus, Love for The Heavenly Father and Love for one-another.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
— John 13:34 (KJV)

Antioch will teach you and demonstrates for you how you can use your worldly talents and spiritual gifts for good. Your friends and family will visibly see the Fruit of The Spirit ripen in your Christian Life as you grow in your faith at Antioch. Antioch can and will help you discover your place in the Kingdom of God through their small Sunday groups and special times of fellowships as we come together to share our "Faith Stories" with one another. Come see the Biblical Model demonstrated during our Services and the small fellowship groups.

But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (23) gentleness, and self-control. There are no laws against things like that.
— Galatians 5:22-23 (GW)
