Robert Bickford & his wife Omega began their ministry here at Antioch in July of 1987. They are partners in ministry and they both have grown and developed many skills and talents during their years here; they use these special gifts and talents to minister to the members of Antioch and the community. Omega focuses her gifts and talents mostly serving Antioch's families. She is very active in the Church and has a special relationship with the women of Antioch.
Bro. Robert serves our Community in various ways. One way is by serving as a Chaplain at the Baptist Hospital in Paducah. Bro. Bickford visits weekly there and is on call during times of community emergencies.
Another Community ministry is his position on the Disaster Relief team of Ballard County. He serves as the the (EC) Emergency Communication Operator of Ballard County. This position is vital during times of county disasters. He operates an Amateur Radio located in the Ballard County Emergency Building in La Center.
Antioch is also a member of the Ballard County Chamber of Commerce which allows Bro. Bickford to keep in touch with the activities and the possible opportunities for community ministry.
His Pastoral ministry also extends into the local jail. He visits Ballard County Jail and preaches on a rotating schedule with other area Pastors. He is there to minister to your family, friends, and neighbors should you find your loved one in need of his ministry at the Jail.
